Venue:Dovedale Sports Centre
Following on from the successful workshops in previous years, this is a practical only workshop where the learning environment will take place on the match area.
We will cover the KUGB Competition Rules by practising Refereeing and judging Jiyu Kumite (freestyle), Kihon Ippon Kumite (one-step) and Kata.
This course is for those KUGB members who are looking to attend the Referees and Judges course this year and/or take the Referees and Judges exam. It is also for those who are currently competing so they may develop a greater understanding of the rules for both Kata and Kumite Competition.
Referees and Judges Uniform is optional, you may wear tracksuits. Please bring a whistle and pen and paper if required.
The course will be chaired by Richard Naylor-Jones, KUGB Nationally Qualified Referee for over 25 years. Supported by Richard Kheder and Jane Naylor-Jones, both KUGB Nationally Qualified Referees.
Copies of KUGB Competition rules will be provided to those who have not previously attended a course.
Attendees will benefit most by studying the rule book in advance so that they can make the most of the hands on experience offered by this workshop.
Open to all KUGB Members Purple Belts and Above.
Please contact Sensei Jane to book your place on this Workshop.
