Chelmsford SKC News Article

Sensei Richard was nominated by Sensei Neil Rowley of Tsutahashi SKC - Ivybridge to take part in the #22kill #22pushup challenge.

This challenge was a small way to raise awareness of the 22 combat veterans, both in the UK and the US, that commit suicide due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The rules were simple, once nominated, you record yourself doing 22 pushups every day for 22 days and post them on facebook.  Sensei Richard nominated many of our Chelmsford students, including daughter Megan.  Quite often the whole class has taken part - sometimes three classes a day including Sensei Richard's 'Discover Karate' Class with Mencap.

In addition, when he was in Lancaster on the Train with the Champions Course he took part inthe challenge alongside 150 Karateka and also the Senior KUGB Instructors including KUGB Chief Instructor Sensei Andy Sherry.
