The KUGB, the Country's largest single-style Karate Association, have in place an Instructor Qualification Programme which allows our students to work towards becoming an Instructor or Assistant Instructor.

This year the KUGB has added the 'Young Leaders Award' to its programme for our younger members (aged 12-17) and we were proud to have been chosen to pilot this programme.


19 August 2016: Chelmsford's Young Leaders are awarded forthier achievements


As a result some of our young Black Belts have been studying the role of a Young Leader and assisting with our Shotokan Tigers classes.  As a result of their hard work and effort over the past year they have fulfilled the necessary requirements to take them to both Bronze and Silver level.

Earlier this week, Jessica Steadman, Romilly Pope and Megan Naylor-Jones (pictured below) were awarded their certificates for both Bronze and Silver and can now officially call themselves 'KUGB Young Leaders'.   Well done to you all.
