The Club have had an ‘Outstanding Year’ so far in 2014 and it just keeps getting better.

  • Tigers Competition  - we won six of the nine events.
  • KUGB International Grand Slam - Three of our students represented England
  • KUGB British Championships  - we won four medals including the British title in the Ippon Kumite.
  • KUGB Southern Regions  - we won a total of thirty one medals, this included eleven Gold medals!
  • KUGB British Youth Championships - the Club was outstanding at this level to win eleven medals including three British Titles!
  • KUGB British Shotokan Cup - we brought home three more medals including yet another British Title.
  • KUGB British Student Championships – we won seven medals
  • Tigers Competition – we won eight of the nine events

We have not only had success in competition:

  • Kyu Gradings - A large number of students have successfully passed their Gradings in the three examinations held this year
  •
  • Dan (Black Belt) Gradings – in 2014, we have, again, had a 100% record of students taking and passing their Exam
  •
  • KUGB National Judges Qualification - one of our Black Belts passed his examination to qualify.
  •
  • Active Essex Sports Awards – Sensei Dot Naylor won Unsung Hero – live on BBC ESSEX Radio

All of these achievements are as part of the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) the largest single style Karate organization in the UK.

Our success is based on the hardwork, commitment and determination of all our students and we are very proud of this recognition.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR VOTES AND SUPPORT!
