Chelmsford SKC News Article

On Saturday 12th November 2016, Jamie Lottering and Megan Naylor-Jones represented Chelmsford Karate Club at the 33rd KUGB National Students Championship at the Queen's Park Leisure Centre, Chesterfield. Jamie and Megan were supported by Coach, Jane Naylor-Jones and Judge, Wayne Lottering.

Both Karateka performed well in their Kumite events and narrowly missed out in getting to the Kumite finals.  However, in contrast, both reached their Individual Kata Finals.

In the Female Individual Black Belt Kata - Megan Naylor-Jones won silver with a strongly executed performance of Kata Empi.

Whilst in the Male Individual Black Belt Kata - Jamie Lottering went one step better to win Gold with an excellent performance of Kata Gojushiho Sho to become KUGB National Students Champion 2016.

Well done to both Megan and Jamie!
