Fantastic news! Chelmsford Karate Club's student - Megan Naylor-Jones has been appointed as a Sports Ambassador for Chelmsford City Council with her Home Centre being Dovedale. 

Megan is a 2nd Dan Black Belt, England Kata Squad Member and is the current South of England under 16 Individual Kumite Girl's Champion and also Team Kata Champion.  

On news that she had been appointed Megan said, "I am thrilled to have been selected to become a Sports Ambassador for Chelmsford City Council.  It is fantastic to gain this recognition for Karate and also to have opportunity to represent both the Council and the Club to help get more people involved with Karate.  Certainly the opportunity to use the Sports Facilities will help me with both my training and development".

Megan's first role will be to support Dovedale Sports Centre at their open weekend at the end of May where she will meet and teach young people who are interested in learning Karate.

Well done Megan and a big thank you to Chelmsford City Council for selecting Megan for the Chelmsford Sports Ambassador Scheme.
