Congratulations to Sensei Richard Naylor-Jones who was awarded Essex All Together 'Ambassador of the Month' by Active Essex last night.

Earlier this year Sensei Richard volunteered to become an All Together Ambassador for Disability Sports for Active Essex. Last night at the Ambassadors' Celebration Event at Chelmsford Racecourse, he was awarded 'Ambassador of the Month' for May following the work he has been doing to help raise awareness of Mental Health and disabilities to get more people involved in sport and Karate in particular.

He was presented the award by Active Essex's Hayley Chapman, who is leading the Essex All Together campaign for Disability Sports in Essex, Richard said "It was a very nice surprise when my name was announced and I am very proud and pleased to receive this award by ActiveEssex for May.  I hope that through the Ambassador programme we can encourage more people with disabilities to get involved in sport and of course Karate to help improve their health and wellbeing"
