We are very pleased and proud to announce that yesterday at the Karate Union of Great Britain's (KUGB) Annual General Meeting Sensei Richard Naylor-Jones was voted in as the new Chair for the Southern Region.
Richard who held the position of KUGB Southern Region Secretary for the past four years has replaced Ivan Birch who retired from the position which he held for over twenty years. Richard said "I am very proud to now hold this important position within the KUGB and I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and made this possible. Karate is first and foremost about Training and this is what I enjoy the most. However, to make this happen and to provide the opportunity for Karateka and Clubs to come together, to grow and attract new members it involves a lot of work behind the scenes and I look forward to this new challenge alongside Treasurer Dave Graham and Secretary Val Dale".
We would like to wish Sensei Richard the very best in his new role and our support going forward.
