Great news! Teah Pope has qualified as a Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) Assistant Instructor.
Teah is 2nd Dan Black belt who has been training with the Chelmsford Karate Club since she started Karate at age seven. During this period she has won numerous titles including the British National Championships, is a KUGB England team member and at the last European Championship in 2016 won a silver medal with the England Cadet Ladies Kumite Team.
In addition to her Karate training Teah has, for a number of years, been coaching under the supervision of both Sensei Jane and Richard. She recently turned eighteen and therefore became eligible to both study for and take her Assistant Instructor Qualification.
Sensei Jane Naylor-Jones (5th Dan) is an Assessor for the KUGB and conducted the Assistant Instructor's examination, both written and practical. She was very pleased with Teah's overall performance not only on the day but in the months leading upto the practical exam and awarded Teah with an Assistant Instructor Certificate. Teah will also have her qualification registered on the KUGB database.
Teah joins a number of Chelmsford Instructors and Assistant Instructors who have qualified under the prestigious KUGB National programme. Well done Teah!
