On Sunday 16 October, Sensei Andy Sherry (9th Dan), Chief Instructor of the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB), travelled to Chelmsford to hold a Special Training Course and Kyu Grading Examination.  This took place at Dovedale Sports Centre, Chelmsford.

Sensei Sherry is famous within the Karate World and as a result there were a large number of enthusiastic Karateka in attendance for both Training sessions.  Amongst this group were Club Instructors and Students travelling from all over the South East of England.  This included the following KUGB Clubs: Ipswich Higashi, Shiseikan, Stock, Sudbury and, of course, Chelmsford.

Then this was immediately followed by a training session for All Grades from White belt through to Black belt.  Many of the Brown and Black from the first Class took the opportunity to continue training and have an additional session with Sensei Sherry.

Immediately following the training sessions the Kyu Grading examination began.  The Grading was well attended with over 50 Students Grading from Sudbury and Chelmsford.

The grading was a great success and a big well done to everyone who participated.  Also a big thank you to all those KUGB Clubs and their Students who travelled to Chelmsford to train with Sensei Sherry.
