Congratulations to Team Chelmsford who represented England at the Grand Slam in Repton yesterday.

Great performances from everyone but special mention to Alexander Lockett who won the Under 18 Kata and came 2nd in the Cadet Individual Kumite after a terrific final against current WSKA World Champion, Thomas Hegarty. And Callum Brew who took bronze in the Under 18.

Sensei Richard, Megan and Alex travelled to Ipswich to train with Sensei Frank Brennan.

MARCH & APRIL

Sensei Richard, Kenny, Harry, Joe, Alexander, Megan, Hazel and Anna who travelled to Tamworth today to train with Sensei Brennan

Team Chelmsford competed successfully in the Southern Region Championships. The Club won an amazing 13 Trophies (11 Golds, 10 Silver and 20 Bronze) including the Most Outstanding Competitor - Under 16 - Anna Purcell and Most Outstanding Competitor Adult - Alexander Lockett.

On 20th March we held our Mother's Day training session - it was great to see our "Mums" get involved.

Quite a few of us travelled to Torbay in Devon for the KUGB's residential course. During the week our Team took the opportunity to take part in the Kata Competition. Congratulations to Alex, Ben, Sean and George who all brought home medals.

We held a Superhero Easter course and had fun with nerf guns.
We started April with a trip to Liverpool for England Kata Squad Training. Left to right Ben, Alexander, Sensei Brennan, Callum and Megan.

Even more importantly, on the Friday, Sean successfully passed his Shodan grade while Hazel passed her Nidan.

Congratulations to you both.
